Borussia Dortmund's Haaland Hat-Trick Leads Sensational Comeback

Erling Haaland's hat-trick helped Borussia Dortmund come from behind to snatch a 5-3 victory over Augsburg in the Bundesliga

The Norwegian striker scored three goals after the visitors had taken a 3-1 lead at Signal Iduna Park. Julian Brandt and Felix Passlack added further goals for the hosts, who moved up to second in the table.

Dortmund were looking to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals, and they made a bright start to the game. Haaland had a good chance to open the scoring in the early stages, but he fired wide from inside the box.

Dortmund pulled a goal back in the 55th minute when Haaland headed home from a Brandt cross. However, Augsburg restored their two-goal advantage just two minutes later when Ruben Vargas teed up Niederlechner to score his second goal of the game.

Dortmund were not about to give up, and they pulled another goal back in the 64th minute when Haaland scored from the penalty spot. The hosts then completed their comeback in the 70th minute when Passlack scored a stunning volley.

Haaland completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute to seal a memorable victory for Dortmund. The win moves Dortmund up to second in the table, two points behind Bayern Munich.
