Animal Care and Protection
The Animal Services Department at Wakulla Animal Services is dedicated to protecting both the public and animals' health and safety. Our mission is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all animals, while also ensuring the well-being of the community.
Animal Shelter and Adoption Center
Wakulla Animal Services serves as both the animal shelter and the adoption center for the area. We care for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals, providing them with food, water, shelter, and veterinary care. We also facilitate adoptions, matching animals with loving and responsible families.
Public Health and Safety
In addition to caring for animals, Wakulla Animal Services also plays a vital role in public health and safety. We investigate animal cruelty complaints, enforce animal control laws, and quarantine animals suspected of carrying diseases. Our goal is to prevent animal-related injuries, illnesses, and nuisance issues within the community.
