A deadly tornado outbreak has ravaged Oklahoma, leaving behind a trail of destruction and prompting emergency calls to take cover. The storm system, which struck late on Tuesday, spawned numerous tornadoes that tore through central and eastern parts of the state.

The most severe damage was reported in Oklahoma City, where several tornadoes caused significant damage to buildings, homes, and infrastructure. The city's Will Rogers World Airport was temporarily closed due to tornado damage. Power outages and downed trees were also widespread throughout the affected areas.

Sadly, the tornadoes have claimed at least two lives, with reports of additional injuries. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has declared a state of emergency for 12 counties impacted by the storms, enabling state and federal resources to be deployed for recovery efforts.

The National Weather Service warned of continued severe weather conditions in Oklahoma and neighboring states. Residents in affected areas are urged to stay alert and follow safety instructions from local officials. Large hail, additional tornadoes, and high winds remain possible, posing further risks to communities.
